Projects will typically include the following steps:
Consultation
A meeting with clients, ideally in the projects intended location,
will shape the initial brief: establishing general function, dimensions,
style, material and finish preferences.
Proposals
Two and/or three-dimensional drawing(s) showing the proposed furniture
in situ are presented, along with sample materials, fittings and finishes
These will be accompanied by an initial estimate of cost.
Finalised design
Amendments, if any, to the proposed design are incorporated and submitted.
On approval of the finalised design a deposit is required before commencing
production.
Production
Finalised designs of individual and limited edition pieces are hand
crafted by designer/maker John Doolin in the central Dublin workshop.
For larger scale batch production, a select team of experienced sub
contractors specialising in joinery, upholstery, glazing and metalwork
may be enlisted when required. Lead times will vary according to the
nature of the project deadlines may be accommodated on request.
Delivery
Finished pieces are delivered anywhere in the greater Dublin area
free of charge. Delivery elsewhere in the country may be arranged
upon request.
