Material: cherry; solid and veneer
Dimensions: 1700h x 1600w x 300d

The original brief for this piece was to design a geometrically constructed unit based on a square with four sections. My design is based on starting with four separate units which are connected to form one. With the use of shadow gaps each segment is clearly separated and defined, while the use of a combination of mitred and butt joints creates a flow between certain components which visually draws the segments together as one piece.
